When setting up MutliGov on my 12FG, I only get SPEED2 and SPEED3 shown on the MultiGov display while SPEED1 remains in seclusion. SPEED2 displays when in "normal" mode, and SPEED3 displays in both "IdleUp1" and "IdleUp2" modes.

In the GOVERNOR menu of the 12FG, I have Rate1 set at 0% in "normal" mode. I have Rate2 set at 50% in "IdleUp1". I have Rate3 set at 100% in "IdleUp2".

Based upon what I've found via searching the forums, I have concluded that my 12FG is set as others have set theirs.

I would appreciate suggestions about what I am doing incorrectly to be causing SPEED1 to remain in hiding.

Fly safe, Glover

PS In flight the governor opperates correctly except that I only get two speeds. And if I can only get two speeds, I'd prefer them to be in IdleUp1 and IdleUp2.

I just observed that when I set the "end points" for the throttle to 100% and 100%, I now get SPEED1 in "normal" along with SPEED3 in both IdelUp's. This must be a "clue", but I'm still clueless.

OK, one more "update" on my delima.

SPEED1, SPEED2 and SPEED3 display depend upon mode switch setting, throttle stick position and end point values.

I have my throttle curves set as they were prior to installing the governor.

My guess is that I have the MultiGov and 12FG set correctly, but that the MultiGov display is changing due to inputs besides the mode switch. When I get the rebuild of my toy complete, my guess is that the governor will work as it is designed. (The reason that I was once again getting into the setup process was just to lower the SPEED3 value.)

At MultiGov supports suggestion, I built a "new model" and set up three flight modes and the GOVERNOR function for three speeds (one for each flight mode). Now the MultiGov display is correct and only changes with the flight mode setting... success, but not over.

I verified that the "original model" has no mixes set, and then tested it again... and it worked correctly just like the "new model" did.

I hope to flight test the toy on Wednesday when Oregon gets a rain break. I have no idea what was going on yesterday between MultiGov and 12FG. But if it failed yesterday, it can fail again.

Nope, no more info, as I had a tail setup error in my re-build when I went to the field for a test flight. As the weather is to be good for the next several days I expect to test my toy in the next soon, and will post if it does anything other than work correctly. I have no clue why I was getting "false" status indications, but events such as this very much concern me as something in my electronic environment is "trying to trick me". I may send my 12FG in for a software check-up.
