I am looking at buying the Spektrum 7100 for my vibe 50 for the main reason that it has the 2048 resolution. I will not be running an 8 volt system so will need to have an input max of just 6 volts. My radio is a Jr 9303 2.4.

Is their any reason why i cant use a 2 cell Lipo connected to a castle creation BEC regulated to 6v and then connect this to the power input cables? Am i adding too much complexity to an already good system?

I have thought of a sub cell 6v Nimh alternative , does anyone have any pointers on the way to go.
Thanks
Mark

If its any help I drive my 9100 through a spektrum reg with a two cell a123 as rx supply.
I tried the CC reg but found it caused glitching on my tail gyro

Thanks Reg,
I may be talking rubbish and have confused the Rx that has the 2048 res. It is the 7600 that is the hi speed/high res.
just checked...it is the 7600!
