Hi guys,just after a bit of advice....... when doing inverted/aerobatic autos do you use your idle up setting + 10 -10 pitch? thinking of having a go at them....more help the better!!

I don't treat inverted autos any different than upright. Your average pilot's preferred settings are +/-5. Personally, I have my pitch ranges the same all across the board so I can utilize the entire spectrum when needs be. Being between +/-13. That way you have full control and you're not locked in a preset setting especially when doing aerobatic autos because sometimes you need aggressive pitch ranges to get speed and making use of the momentum from the fall. Hope that makes sense. For starters, just make sure you have enough built up energy in your blades to perform a certain maneuver and time to flip over.

Just copy your idle up curve but max out your positive pitch.

Thanks guys.....did my first inverted autos today ...well chuffed!! started roling out lower as the day went,then did a upright auto and stripped the tail on a cross wind landing

Any way, im a very happy chappie!!
