Hi Guys,
I have my first Velocity 50 sitting in front of me after a couple of days assembling it.

I would like to say im impressed with the layout and some of the things it has standard.

Also the price point its at is very good.
Im sitting here itching to fly her now...............

I have done a few mods to mine which i think should be in the kit from standard.

Pinned the boom front and back with a small grub screw

One thing i noted durign teh build was the ends of the TT both of them do not locate in the centre of the TT so when it spins the ends dont turn true.

Has anyone had any vibrations on there machines or noticed the same thing ?

I have tried to straighten them but i havent got it perfect.

Overall i would thoroughly recomend this machine to anyone

Im sure it will fly just as good

What HS and blades and paddels is everyone useing ?

Outrage (Charlie) please arrange a distributor in Australia for this machine, PM me if you need some contacts down under.

Thanks Dale

If you have the new style paddles (solid black ones) use those with the flybar in the forward hole. They fly really predictable but holy cow fast. I fly mine at 2020 HS. Hyper just sings right along not a care in the world.

Yes i know i spoke to toby during the week once i had the kit.

i have to call him and let him know how it goes.

"If you have the new style paddles (solid black ones) use those with the flybar in the forward hole."

Forward hole , is ??? most inner or out holes ?

A few other things for the kit,

Needs a header tank as the main tank's opening is too small for a fuel magnet so a clunk is needed.

the main gear ir very "round" not like a Trex wobble, you can get a reasonable accurate mesh of the gears, the teeth on the TT drive system look goood too.

I have had to add extra shime to the head, even with the black 90 durometer dampeners the blades had a gap to the dampener (same mounting system as a raptor)

Now its very firm.

I have set the head in the "Advanced settings" as per the manual.

Its nice to see someone has FINIALLY put in some basic instructions about where to place the rods on the arms to produce a stable model and those for more agility.

This will help everyone out.

I hope theres no vib in the tail with the TT end off center.

I just keep looking at it thinking "Gee given the aus/usa dollar rate these machines include a Canomod canopy it looks bright and sharp, decent size pipe which i will add is almost identical in size to the new hatori for the OS55, carbon frames and decent ccpm system, Good strong but enough give in the landing gear to be really robust.

The screws are decent quality not like a Trex, once you undo/redo an Align screw a few times the heads break or round out.

Hell i wish i had night gear i would go fly it now 2:12am lol.lol

Aaron, after getting back from Perth last week i have been even more keen to fly, 2 days flying isnt enough!

I am useing in CY 600mains and super stubz paddels with weights.

i was going to turn it at 2100 HS but i might start off a 1950 as the Super stubz can be a litlle "itchy" at 2100-2200.

I know what you mean about not enough time.
Im local, and even I felt a bit rushed to get as many flights in whilst still helping out and being sociable.
We are coming to Coffs for about 5 days next year
Look forward to seeing that 50 get smacked

Hey Dale
I wouldnt be able to do a Feb funfly.
Nothing to do with Toby, just $$ in short supply is all.

Tod Bennet school sounds very interesting

Ive just been on the sim lol.
I get pretty pumped the night before flying, so instead of just laying in bed awake, I get on the sim.
That way its not wasted time
Been working hard on piro funnel 8's , and trying to keep up my practice with piro flips.
Thats the bad part of learning more tricks all the time, the time required to keep it well practiced.
I piro flip my Protos already, but just trying to get a bit psych'd for the 90

Its 12.20am here, gonna go to bed finally heh heh.

I mean the forward hole in the paddle itself. There is 2 available options. They tell you in the manual that the forward hole is for stability and the back hole is for speed (meaning REALLY fast cyclic response but you will loss the stabiliy/tracking) I dont like helis that are pitchy or unpredictable in fast flight so I used the forward hole on the paddles. The Velocity is still lightning fast with the stock paddles (2nd design)in the forward hole but it is very solid and predictable in fast flight. I thought of trying 3105 stubz but after flying it with the stock paddles I dont think I would like the stubz on it, it would be scary fast and IMO harder to fly.
