I read a thread, I think it was over a year old, about problems with Magnum fuel. It said Buzz changed his formula for his Heli 30% fuel and it caused many problems. It got to the point where he had to send out new glow plugs to help with the problem.
My question is has the problem been resolved? Do you need a special plug to use his Heli Plus 30% fuel?
I spent the last few days reading threads and I found negative comments on every brand of fuel out there. I'd like to support U.S. companies so I want to stay away from Outrage fuel.
I tried calling Magnum Fuels in Denver but they are not answering and no reply to my e-mail as of yet.

Thanks...

You don't need a special plug for the Heli+30. Thats regular fuel.

The special plugs were for the special "Buzz Blend" that was developed in response to the Nitro Shortage Scare of 2008.

The Magnum Heli DS30 fuel is what I think he is talking about and Buzz has re worked that formula and it runs great. I use a normal OS8 plug with it and the needle settings are real close to 30% Nitro now. Makes awesome power and cheaper than 30% Nitro too. Last shipment me and some others ordered 12 or 13 cases or something like that and it was only $16.00 gal including shipping. Can't beat that price.

Buzz at Magnum Fuels called me today. It was the DS fuel and it's no longer a problem. He also told me his new 1.4 gallon containers will be in the first week of November so he's allowing a two case minimum which comes out to 10 gallons, 5 gallons per case. So it's 240.00 for 2 cases or 10 gallons shipped to a commercial address.

Magnum is the best IMHO, been flying it foir years with no problems. Great fuel for a great price. All other brands can keep there high prices for nothing gained. It is all about the name now. I truley believe the fuel companies and lhs are having a case of greed now. People will pay $30 so they will charge $30. Hats off to Buzz for helping out the hobby by keeping the fuel prices low. He has my business for life!
