What is so Different or new about the 700LE versus the regular 700? The only thing the i see is the polished head, but everyones making a big deal about it, some people wont even buy a new 700 if its not an LE. I dont know maybe im way off but i just dont see the big deal its the same heli with a polished head. Tell me if im wrong

Trying not to put them in the dirt.

Its almost like they have to sell a "LE" addition these days. people expect it, so... Your right, not much difference at all, in fact, you can get more stuff in a good "all in one" package than you can get in the LE package, for the same price, if not cheaper.

the thing that hits me the hardest about it, is, the people that already have the regular 700, now want the LE model too, not just people that are buying one for the first time.

I thought there were a few modification on the LE including some kind of tail boom mod where it attached to the frames or something on the tail case... Am I right?

I have two standars and what sucks is that even with the LE align has still not made a fix for the common wear items. ????

Yes the LE now has a hole in the front of the boom and front case to pin the boom in place.
From memory the screw was huge, like an M4

Thanks gorn.

The 700LE might actually make me buy an Align heli again. Even though its not much different than the original 700, but a fresh look always brings new customers in...

G

It's all marketing. Just like cars. I remember looking at 1982 and later Camaros. From 82 - 92 they just keep looking better. Kinda makes the old 82 look drab. I now look at my Trex 600 Nitro Pro and think the same thing. I have a 2nd 600 Nitro that I offered to a friend at a reasonable price BNF. He bought a 600LE instead (his first nitro. No problem. What did I do? I hurried to his house to check it out. I think Align knows they will rake in more pilots with the new looks. I think improvements would have been more in the order. Through my Tr700 build I kept finding new improvements they could incorporate in an all new 600 Nitro V2 kit. Had these improvements been made it would even been a better kit with more positive in the forums.

People want to differentiate themselves. That is the reasoning behind all the custom canopies. Up until now, you had to contend with same everything.

Now, you have a choice. Black or white.

It isn't enough for us to run out and buy one as our original flies just fine.

I see the ready heli has the parts for the LE head up but they are out of stock right now. So if I want an Le all I need to do Is buy they silver head. Not to much to worry about since you can't see it when it's spinning. LOL

I'm actually hoping the regular 700 comes down a bit in price to get more, since I don't have a need for the silver anodized stuff and prefer the black anodized stuff anyways.

700LE

When Align brings new kits out(or models)they have the upgrades on them, I'm not talking about metal fans and metal tailblade holders and so forth, I'm talking about main gears like the 700, the new part number has a -1 on it or a A on it, they do it on most of there models, the 600LE, 600ESP, 500ESP, 250SE, 700LE have the updated stuff on them. So they are not the same kit they came out with, there's more than a color difference. Bobby
