Who do you insure your equipment through and what types do you get. What exactly is the type of insurance covers it? I have called two different insurance companies and the people never know what category it should be.

(Husband + Wife) x Hobby= Broke

What kind of insurance are you looking for?

What do you want to insure?

You are not going to get insurance for your equipment like the helicopter, engine or radio.

You will get insurance for expensive cameras if it is not flying in the air. You can definitely get liability insurance for third party injury if you screw up. For that matter your home owner insurance will cover your for your third party liability up to a certain amount.

Hill & Usher has a section on their website for AP/AV. THis has been discussed many times, in detail, and resulting in flame wars. Search older threads.
