I have the trex500CF

I used the stock plastic paddles - had a good setup with fast cyclics

Decided to upgrade the paddles and tail rotors to carbon .....

put the trex500 back in the air - next thing I know - all my cyclics are sluggush and slow etc ....

Especially the elevator cyclic - feels like it almost takes eternity to flip over ....

I thought the carbon align paddles will make it better?

Maybe I have to go through another setup phase again.

I think the CF ones are heavier than the plastic ones, you can max out the cyclic until it doesent bid, dont worry about how many degrees it is just use as much as you can without binding.

With my Hitec 85mg`s its just slightly less than 100% swashmix, not sure about other servos like ALign or futaba though.

I seem to remember reading in another post that you have modified your pitch curves, if your not runnning 100% anymore you could have a slower headspeed which would greatly affect fliprate.

For fastest cyclic:
1. 19mm servo arms
2. stock paddles
3. 2700+ headspeed

... BTS
