Belt driven?
Is that belt driven? Why are they suggesting cutting the boom in half?

I wonder if they will do one for the 500 fuse

HeliArtist
I have MD 500 from HA it weights a lot more than the Align Fus. Think about the weight. Mine was unpainted but still was white and had a clear coat on it too.

Yes it is belt driven. The HeliArtist fenestron is a tad on the heavy side, so removing the aft end of the tail boom helps in achieving a proper CG.
I have a sample along with the HeliArtist EC-135 fuselage enroute from http://www.flying-hobby.com

I will post impressions once I have it in the air. I am concerned about it's ability to hold a 450 size heli with a 4 blade head. I'll be using a 450 Furion with an X-Copter four blade head for testing. Stay tuned.

It would likely only involve a larger diameter housing and longer fan blades, so I'll be surprised if they don't go this way for the 500 size helis.
