I just crashed my 450SE for the first time, have a post and some pics over in the crash forum for all to poke fun of Anyways, I noticed it took me quite a while to find the few parts I needed, it seems most places are "sold out" or "out of stock" on TONS of the 450 parts. Site after site I clicked on didnt have one or most of the parts I needed in stock, is this normal? Are there that many people crashing these that they cant keep parts in stock? Or does Align not produce them fast enough? There are some parts I couldnt even find, like a SEV2 blue aluminum anti-rotation bracket.

I love the heli but not if I cant get parts to fix it because they're out of stock everywhere, my LHS doesnt carry anything for it so I have to order everything. This is my first 450 and I've only owned it for a month or so, what's your take or experience on parts availability? A guy in our club has one and he waited 2 months for a feathering shaft he said... and it was because I gave him a spare that came with my heli.

Its 7:45am, everyone land so I can call in sick...

Try ReadyHeli. They'll ship you the parts in 2 days for free if your order is more than $100. They have the fastest shipping around. Next best might be HeliDirect.

If your a newbie and crashing alot, buy a couple sets of parts like blades, main shafts, tail shafts, belt drives, t/r blades, etc with each order. That way you can rebuild the same afternoon rather than wait for parts to come in the mail.

As for the blue AR bracket, I ordered one from China off Ebay. It was about $10 shipped. I don't think Align makes one.

Thanks for the advice, I have ordered from both of those places already just getting it set up the way I wanted it. For my last order the other day they were both sold out of some of the same parts I needed this time and I randomly clicked on parts just for fun and found many to be sold out at both places or not listed at all. I generally do order at least 2 of everything, was just wondering if all the backordered Align parts on so many sites is something I can expect normally. If it is, I may sell this and get something I can actually get parts for. This is actually my first heli crash in 4 or 5 years, but I do expect to be crashing much more frequently trying to learn how to 3D Which is why I bring it up.

I have noticed that several online stores are out of stock on 450 V2 parts every now and then. I find it pretty normal to order from a few online sources when I need a slew of parts.

you can also try grand, they are a distributor also, and seem to keep pretty good stock of stuff.

Pardon my obvious bias, but espritmodel.com sells Align. While you're at it, get a set of link rods. They're cheap and you ain't flyin without'em. For that matter, ball links and servo arms are cheap and essential too.

I've got piles of both Terrabit I picked this chopper up used and got the little aluminum case that comes with it... chuck full of spare parts, but of course when I pile it up Im always going to break something I DONT have 3 of, its just the law of heli's. If you have 2 complete heli's, both the same make and model and crash one, you'll still find something you dont have haha, or you'll break the part you need trying to take it off the other one, or while intalling it, or drop it in the carpet and lose it because it's a part the size of a dust spec to start with

I've never ha any problems ordering through Heliproz. They have had everything I've ordered on the shelf except for a few odd-ball items. They back ordered the parts and a little over a week later I had the last of the parts.

Ebay has every single part made for the 450, EVERY PART! you might want to limit your searches to 750 miles though, parts from hong kong can take 2 or 3 weeks.
