Anyone got any info on Powermaster?

The word on the street is they lost a big contract with Traxxas and may close their doors.

I tried calling but no answer. Love their fuel, hate to see them go.

Edit: Finally got a hold of them, they said "We've heard those rumors too, it's absolutely not true" ... great news!

I think Powermaster fuels has closed their doors for reasons unknown.

We switched to Rotor Rage last season locally, we like it better.

This really unfortunate. I hate to see a company with such a long history in the RC community go down.

They had all of their eggs in one basket with the Traxx contract I understand, which they lost to somebody else a while back.

I tried to call them, just got a generic voicemail on their main number, during business hours.

Can anyone confirm they are still in business?

My LHS just ordered about 20 cases for us locally about one month ago and the fuel showed up in a matter of days. Now they're out of business?? News to me.

@Todd,

Are they? I think that is the question, are they out of business or not?

Their website is down and their phone number just goes to a generic voicemail.

I don't know. I hope not because I hate changing fuels. I have 40 gallons, so I'm good to go for most of the season.

If Powermaster prices were competitive with the Byron fuel prices I still would have no problem flying Powermaster. I really liked the fuel and felt that it offered great cooling properties. It seemed that the engine temperatures were insanely low for the amount of power I was getting. With what we were having to pay for powermaster VS. rotor rage you ended up getting 1 more gallon of Rotor rage for the price of six gallons of powermaster. Rotor Rage is a great fuel and with it having a far more attractive price of upwards to $5.00 a gallon less it's a clear decision.
