I bought a used 250, that didn't come with the pitch gauge adapter. Is there an alternative way that I check my pitch?

Looking at the 'tip-end' of the blade, with the blades out straight.. look down the blade! eye the leading and trailing edge.....against the flybar. 'flybar level with the boom.
Adjust until the leading and trailing edges, line up with the flybar reference.
Near enough.
Trust me

Thanks colsy. That's exactly what I did, then adjust tracking as needed. It flys great, I just wanted to know my pitch travel.

Ahh ok, right this is how you do it::

Dont bother....

I used to do all that, but CBA anymore i just set the +- pitch even 'ish' from the centre swash refrence.

I used to spend hours with gauges and getting tham all 'cock' on, nowdays i just set them up to max without serious mech binding, and fly the buggers.

You can always reduce your swash values if the coll/cyc is too much.

yah Col has it right. But it is always nice to know your cyclic and collective travel to compare with others.
Seems the trex 250 can have HUGE cyclic and collective travels. I just adjust my cyclic in the CCPM values in the
radio until it seems good. Then I adjust the pitch value so that I get enough collective pop and the
tail isn't having trouble keeping up.

But one thing I find weird is that the trex 250 seems to have more collective climb power when doing collective
punchs while the heli is inverted. Is it just me?

checking the pitch for the t250 with the pitch guage tool is alot more percise flying in the long run vs. eye balling the main blades, not knowing if you have enough positive or negative to do the manuvers.
