I have not had to remove one yet but when the time comes, is there a special tool for pulling it off the motor output shaft? It was a tight fit going on.

For me making one is definitely out, I am not very handy when it comes to things like that, so where can I buy one? I googled it and came up empty....

G-Force makes one that will fit the 600 and 700.

i placed a 600 canopy support (plastic) in the cylinder so the piston would stop against it, and with the fan mounted, was able to twist it off. of course you have to willing to sacrafice a canopy support....:0

I´ve been using a heavy duty servo arm or a similar plastic to stuck the connecting rod against the crack case and then rotating the hub+fan with a lot of WD40 on it.

I take my engine (with fan attached obviously) to the local auto parts store (Auto Zone in my case) and ask to borrow a small gear puller. They're happy to oblige. I just pull the fan right then and there at the counter and then hand the gear puller back to them. Doesn't cost a dime.

I made one like the G force one out of a piece of key stock. I push a screw driver in the gap of the hub and it pulls right off. I guess I am lucky.
