Guys im having a hell of a time trying to remove the fan hub from the crankshaft.

How it got in there in the first place despite being so tight:
I used the engine nut and a socket wrench to 'press' in the fan hub...big mistake

Im probably gonna need some kind of fan puller tool to extract it out.

Anyone else encountered this?

Any tips would be of great help...im getting depressed over this issue

Yep, mine is the same, I used a crank locking tool (the plastic OS one that goes in through the engine back plate) and just kept on screwing and pulling, it came off eventually.
But it was tight.

Yeah, it's too tight. I ran a reamer through my hub before assembly and it goes on smooth now, but I had the reamer on hand.

I would be hesitant to twist it to much. The SR has a keyway and it could tear up the bore of the fan. First make sure the M3 bolts on the side are loose then warm up the fan hub. It will make a big difference. If the plastic fan has been installed already then use a heat gun.

Everyone has that issue with the YS91, it's a very tight fit.

I bought one of these and it's a life saver, essential tool for your toolbox.

It is the same with the ST as well. I had to open the hole a little but after that no problems. I made a fan puller with a piece of two inch ket stock and it pulled right off. Was worried though. It messed my front bearings up for some reason.
