after about 35 flights, My luck ran out and my 250 ate the dirt.

I believe the cause was because the pinion slipped as after the crash the pinion was all the way on the bottom near the motor casing.

biggest burn is its going to cost me $75 to get it up in the air again - Blades grips bent and a boat load of other parts

on video: YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVLp...player_embedded

Blade grips bent - bought 250se grips
Tail boom bent
Bottom frame broken
Landing skids snapped in 4 pieces
Bent flybar
Bent feathering shaft
Bent main shaft
Flybar canopy post might be toast

Sorry to hear of the crash. Sooner or later it seems to happen. It really went in hard. $75 for the 250 is a big repair. Good luck with the fix. Keep your head up, it will be back in the air soon. You really can fly that thing around pretty well.

If your pinion slipped. Should have noticed a loss of head speed before the dirt nap. Should not be the cause of a crash unless you seen it fall out of the sky. Eather way crashing stinks.I am still waiting for parts for my ESP to arrive.

Did you put Loctite on the pinion before you installed it on the motor shaft?

Once I have put blue Loctite on my main shaft (which I have cleaned with lots of acetone and I have soaked my pinion in acetone for a few minutes), almost immediately after the two parts are assembled they are locked so tight that I have to heat them very hot with a heat gun to separate them. And this is just with the blue Loctite.

So I have no idea how your pinion came loose.

Dude why are you flying it so high? Its not a 450 hehe. I'm shocked you still can see it and control it. Me and my buddies fly it max 60feet way from us. You actual crashed from like 80feet or more right? Actual its lucky you did not break more that was a very fast crash.
