so, i have the build just about complete, but i cant seem to get the head tight on the main shaft. i know that from what it looks like is that as its tightened, it should clamp onto the main shaft, but no matter how tight i turn in, it doesnt and the head has play on the main shaft.

i get it to where i cant tighten it anymore and it still doesnt make a difference. anyone else run into this issue?

Yes, Some of the heads need to be shimmed. You can use shims like these:

You basically put two 180 degrees from each other on the shaft and line them up with the slots in the head.

problem solved, head is nice and tight now

also had a time getting the fuel tank in, but changed the layout of the rubber lining and used a little silicone on the linings and tank went right in...

now its time to set up the electronics

How'd you get the head tightened up? Did you have to use shims?

i did use the shims... actually only needed one of them. i cut it in half, snugged up the head and slid the shims in on each side as mentioned by double_springs, worked like a charm i just called a locksmith in my area and he had some, so i went and picked a couple up, no charge

You can't beat free.

Tip on the tank, glue the rubber in good and spread some light oil on the tank, squeeze it a little as you slide it in and it will pop right in.
