I got to fly a friends SDX this weekend with the new OS-55HZ installed. Out of the box it was rippin. Second tank was making a ton more power then any Hyper I have ever owned. Pig rich and at only about 155deg she was on the pipe the entire flight, Singin !

I can't wait to get one of these motors!

Heres one I came across a few weeks ago with a YS-56.

Nice flying!

The SDX flys so crisp, as demonstrated from that video. Thanks for posting it!

is it true we need to upgrade parts to be able using OS55...

I heard frame must be reinforced, gear should be change and headspeed must be set at 2000rpm only?....

Yes Dominic was flying the SDX with the YS56. With the power of the engine and his fantastic collective management the SDX was ripping!!!! Any direction he pointed, the SDX pulled with no hint of a bog. I will be installing my OS 55 this weekend. I’ll let you know some results.

I upgraded from a TT53 to the OS55. Not only does the SDX have better performance than it did by a large margin, it has performance as good as my T700 with a YS .91SR. That is saying a lot.

I live at 6,200' and the drop in performance up here is staggering. The SDX with the OS 55 is the first .50 class combination I have seen that can do fast tic tocs, climbing tic tocs, and anything else you want to throw at it without bogging. Like others have said this is without even getting the motor fully leaned out.

Anybody want to by a TT53 cheap? Really cheap? I am not kidding.

Hi David,

The weather is a little bit hot here at noon 31 degree Celcius and its rainy season now and when it cloudy it is 22 degree Celcius.. (and that is 87F-75F.)

We are 80-90m above sea level for reference...

Get those OS55 and enjoy David...
