Been stuck using Futaba 401's and 601 because they always worked for me without any issue...so i figured it was time for something else..

So i got a GP750 fitted on a 450 Sport combo on 2.4GHZ radio...

I got the heli in a hover, tail is nice and steady then like every 15-20 seconds it blows away like 15Degrees and comes right back...like clockwork... This was at a 100%flat line

Reminded me of 72Mhz glitches back in the day...

ON TOP OF THAT, i set my Gyro gain to 10% just to see if the tick tock is still there....experimenting..well REAL SLOW response (OF COURSE), over compensated just a TAD, BARLEY scraped/touched pavement....
and well YOU ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN THE NEXT 20 SECONDS

FIGURES..now i need a main shaft, new night blades, new feathering shaft and new tail blades...
WHY DID I USE THE NIGHT BLADES TO TEST HOVER!!

So i am stumped...
Could it be STATIC? Is it the gyro or the rx?
Anyone else have this issue?

Fly, Fly then Fly some more!!

If it's like clockwork, I'd look at the clockwork, aka power train. Maybe some gear mesh problem, belt tension, belt tooth missing, or something. One such thing wouldn't be a problem, and would be happening much more often, but maybe they're resonating.

If one tooth is missing from the belt, you'd get a tiny little wiggle. If one tooth is stripped on one of the gears, you'd get a tiny little wiggle. Maybe these two things happen to line up on their tooth ratios and happen together every 15-20 seconds like clockwork, amplifying the problem.

Hmm
Thanks Halley

When i rebuild it, i will go through it carefully and see if i can find anything mechanical...but i was thinking its more electrical

I checked the most obvious already and found nothing odd yet..Belt, gears and mesh were all solid. The only thing odd with this heli...the whole heli WOBBLES with a low head speed (low being 60% throttle)..very strange behavior..disappears with head speed...

I only had time for 1 battery before i dumped it...
and only 8" off the ground (though the glitches were happening at all heights)

I left my glasses and neck strap at home... That should have been a heads up to NOT FLY!!

Fly, Fly then Fly some more!!
