at least some of the parts can be used from the 700, and its easier to just be concerned about 1 brand of parts.
As I said I have both a T600 and T700. I am not aware of any interchangeable parts except for the fact that they both use some of the same size bolts? Enlighten me.

I stand enlightened. The tail grips, hub etc are the same as are the plastic landing gear but apparently not the skid pipes. Commonality is a fair consideration which is why many people buy two of the same helicopter.

The poster has three completely different helicopters. On the other hand to be fair he was asking between the 700 and the 600. Therefore from your perspective the answer is easy, buy another 700. That would be my perspective as well. Then you really do have parts commonality if that is an important consideration to the poster.

I simply suggested that he think outside his question. BTW have you flown an SDX?

No I havnt, but a lot of people are saying that they are great. I would imagine that it would be a hog with one of the new OS55 or YS56 engines in one. As far as getting another heli to add to the fleet, I dont see anything wrong with getting a SDX. I have a T600 as well, and as soon as I can sell my hyper, Im going to go OS55 with it, I saw Bert K. flying at SRC with one and WOW!
I would think that anyone with a couple of .90 size heli's to fly already would want to try a .50 size heli, now that they have bigger power plants to put in them, for fuel reasons only. I can go through two gallons of fuel in an afternoon, if I fly my 700 only. It seems to take much longer to go through that much fuel, in my 600.

+1 for that. I tried to make my 700 my practice machine but just wasn't happy with it as my primary heli for exactly the reasons you state and my .50s all get much longer flights on a tank than my 700.

Sleep well.

One other thing I can say is that I miss the fuel milage of my 600. Man those 90's like to eat even with viperheads. LOL

Fly it like you stole it!
