Hey All,

Just wanted to share with you all the excitement me and my wife are going through at present of the soon to be new addition to our family.

Hot on the heels of my recent (23rd May 2009) wedding to the love of my life, my wife is currently pregnant with our first child

I'd like to introduce you to Sophie Paris Contessa, due to be born 3rd March 2010. The middle name comes from the place in which we enjoyed our honeymoon and as you can gather enjoy it I did

The pictures are from our 20 week and 2 day old scan which we had on Friday, at which we found out we are expecting a girl, the apple of daddys eye

For my parents this will be their first grandchild and with my father being Italian he's obviously chomping at the bit and my mum, well she's started knitting the baby stuff already

congratulations and........... enjoy your sleep now!! Parenting is great but i tell everyone getting into it its never very difficult at any given moment but you never really get a break. Its a joy watching them grow and learn though. Spend some nice quiet time with the wife and enjoy it, it'll be over soon

Thanks all for the kind words, she will be a much loved addition to the family.

Only thing now is we're looking to move into a larger home, one with a garage which I can turn into a heli workshop

Congrats mate.
We have only 12 days to go.
But you have to go and get an 3D ultrasound image, it is 1000 times better then the picture you have. it shows detail beyond belief. Trust me I have it in front of me.
cheers.

ps ask your doc for a 3D image.

Dont listen to those types....

Look in my gallery and see where my hobbies stand.....pretty much everything in my gallery is after my son was born.

Still goin strong, it's all about time management.

Ask your Doctor if getting off your ass is right for you.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the kind words on our good news.

As to having to give up the hobby, no way!!! I've talked about this long and hard with the wife and as long as I am about for important days like birthdays etc. then any other time I am good to go flying.
Ok, if I bend a model and need to spend the money elsewhere for little'un then she'll take priority but I just gotta work harder and fix my model.

Modelling at the end of the day is part of me and the wife married me knowing this and fully supports my obsession/passion of RC heli's so I am a lucky man.
Looking on the plus side it gets me out of her hair at weekends

My father started in RC as something we could do together as I got older and it worked, he drifted out of it for a few years but is now back in it again on the planks.

LOL, I had a comment from a friend recently along the lines of "please dont have a boy as he'll soon be flying better than me". My reply was "Think of this, would you rather get beat by a boy or a girl?" I think we could do with a few more female pilots in the ranks, I shall start training early if she shows interest.
