Not really sure yet. My 2 in 1 switch was seperated from the 2 in 1 from the crash so i really couldn't check for brown out issues. I did hook everything back up and everything worked. All servos , linkages everything looked to be working. I was in forward flight and the heli leaned to the left fairly hard and i had no ability to correct. i thought i would find an ail. linkage popped off or something but no. I'm thinking along the lines of a power outage from the 2 in 1. It's too easy to blame the 2 in 1 because of problems people have had with them but at this point i'm kicking myself for putting it on. i learned a lesson today at the all scale ff here in Mt. Pleasant, Tx. from looking at other helis, K.I.S.S. or keep it simple stupid. I learned a lot from this experience and i can't wait to do things much better on my next project, which should be coming very soon.

man i hate that but as i'm sure you know, i have ben there before. my last rash was unexplained and i thought too maybe a loss of power where i think now my battery pack separated form the switch harness or the switch from the rx.
i know a few who use the 2 in 1 but they seem to like it. me, i am a firm believer in the kiss method and swear by it.
your crash is very saddening especially because you just finsihed this project and have barely had enough time to enjoy it. i am however pleased to see that you arent giving up and are ready to get started on the next. i would like to add too that that fuse is totally fixable for that day months from now when you decide to look it over cuz you need something to work on

we'll see how hard it is to learn how to fiberglass now. I may just flip that tail around after all.

Honestly i'm not that bummed. It took me a long time to build her because i don't get the time in my shop i'd like because of work. I had many hours in her but i enjoyed every hour with the heli. I'll eventually take CopterDoctor's advice and get her back in one piece but not any time soon. I'll be asking many a question of CoptorDoctor when that time comes. That is a part of modelling i've always wanted to learn so here's my chance. If i can get the shaping an use of fiberglass down the sky's the limit. My wife felt so bad for me that she already said "you'll just have to start another one". Sounds like an opportunity to me. I'm thinking 90 size MD500? there were some beautiful helis at the fun fly here today and gave me lots of inspiration. i posted some pics on the ff thread. here you go guys.

OH DAMN!!

I come back from a road trip to this bad news!

So sorry bud, that ship was gorgeous and you put a lot of work into it, but I like your attitude of jumping right back on the horse.

cant wait to see the HD500 :-) my little 450 sized 500 with the 5 blade head and no FBL system is a hand full in the wind the slightest breeze sends it strait up,LOL!!! wonder if the larger size heli is the same ? one thing about the larger size you will have room for a scale cockpit :-)

I was thinking more along these lines.

I wish i knew who to credit the heli to. Maybe the owner will chime in with some info.
