Nooooooooooooooo it's not that!

Actually that is the remote reciever (JR) I wrap it in neoprene (Can Cuzzi material) then slide some clear shrink wrap over it, keeps it from getting dirty.....

Pics of the install

Here is what I did on the install with the neoprene and shrink wrap. I used this method for the Voltage regulator, reciever, battery, gyro. Neoprene material keeps things protected, helps resist vibration, and works well in mounting with velcro and what not.

Big yellow box in the background and blunt nose = Hatori SAB-55. . . or at least that's my guess. I got one too.

Yup, I just ran it with the governor hooked up and it seems to be running quite well, right now it is very rich, but I am going to start leaning it a click or two at a time.

Canomod Defect

Well, I received my canopy on Saturday - beautiful except as I unwrapped it from the foam it was wrapped in, a big old one inch square area of the paint peeled right off at the back corner! I'm like what the hell is this????

Not a thing you can blame on shipping either because the shipping box arrived in perfect condition.

Now I have tried to contact them for several days via email and PM here on RR, with no response. How do you get a hold of these people? Do they stand behind their product? I've never dealt with them before.

Thanks,
Todd

I have a Sceadu Evo 30, will the SDX or Turbulence canopies fit? If so, does anyone sell those fiberglass canopies unpainted?

I bought the Mavrikk one and it has a black windshield painted on. More importantly, the resin or glass they use appeared to be of very poor quality. The edges and corners would crack if you did not handle it with kid gloves. That would take some time to reinforce, which is fine... but my $17 Fusuno canopies for the T-Rex 600E's were significantly better quality than the $45 Mavrikk Sceadu canopy. To top it off the black windshield was an overly thick layer of paint, taking a long time to sand the edges smooth so I could prime and paint a new design.

I agree that the mavrikk canopy isn't up to high quality. For a cheap paintjob, its okay. I've patched a few of the mavrikk ones. The best thing to do is sand off that white gel coat and put some extra epoxy on the inside to make it stronger. It will make it a little bit heavier, but my paint doesn't chip off now.

Man, I miss the eighties.
