No need for data. Why would we have abortions if there were enough eligible parents to go around?
Thats not the reason we have abortions. The only reason we have abortions is because its another emotional issue the left has focused on for years. At one time, I supported it. That is until it affected me directly. I no longer support it. Frankly, and once again speaking for myself, I think killing babies is evil and should be stopped. Period.
I understand there are two sides to this issue. I just think that the namby pamby what about the kids routine is a little outdated.
Thats hard to understand. I think liking kids and do the best we can to protect and support them is one of our key responsibilities in life. I like em.

I agree with Dennis,

Part of the problem with teens getting pregnant is the parents! There are a lot of dead beat parents out there that pave the way for our kids.

And who pay's the price? It's going to get worse!

You say that you agree with Dennis and then you say the above?

Makes no sense. I think we should do something proactive about teen pregnancy and welfare abuse before we have to "pay the price". It's time to man up and not be so nampy pamby about the kids.

I already told you. Your just too blinded by the emotion you feel for unborn babies to remember. I think that all males should be snipped at birth. When you are ready you can submit a "credit check" determining if you are eligible to have a kid.

The credit check is fine.

The snipping is a bit over the line and not even a solution except in your own mind. Totally unrealistic.

I think that's our problem. We are to scared to take the necessary steps to actually solve problems.

How would you prevent irresponsible people from having kids?

Simple you dont provide them money to live on because you feel bad for them. People will soon get the picture that they shouldnt have kids unless they can afford them.

1st child with no job, no husband, fail a drug test, no help. Only those willing to work at least part time get state help. Put them to work with the state to help bring down our taxes, and pass the drug test with periodic drug tests required while getting state help. Child support from the man required or he goes to jail.

2nd child within 5 years with no job, no husband, fail a drug test, and no help what so ever. Child support from the man required or he goes to jail.

Those are just some ideas.

Who watches the kid while they work? Who says they will pay income taxes? When you are that low on the tax bracket you contribute nothing to the tax system. You get more tax credits than you do payable taxes. Its a revolving dead end system.

I have a friend who is a single mother and lives off her moms food stamps and has a kid. No-one is willing to baby sit for her, and she is not willing to find a job. Even if she was willing to find a job she would still need someone to watch her kid while she works. She has no money saved and cannot afford day care.

I have not dealt with day care so I dont know how payment works, but from an outsider looking in, when you are that low in the grand scheme of things... you have a feeling of being trapped with no way out, thus no motivation.

You give them motivation with mandatory drug tests, and no more kids compliments of the tax payer.

And, stick to it. Let them go to their local church for help. Those neighborhood churches do an excellent job of helping others.

Thats what leadership is all about.

Dennis, nothing you have suggested is going to work. Your solutions help to battle the symptoms instead of solving the problem.

Str8huckin, Let me guess, You have no kids, or you do and your paying out the a** in child support and are very bitter about it. Or you are still living with your parents.

Just kidding. In all reality, you can't snip male babies at birth. That's a little over the top don't you think. Come back to reality!

Jay, here is a little reality for you.

I am 27. I have no kids. I own my own home. I own my own business.
I buy, build and fly my own helis.

Let me guess a few things about you. You have too many kids from different mothers. You live in a trailer park and you have no job so you do not care about rising taxes. Your baby's mommas spend your kids welfare money on booze and drugs and your very bitter about it. Or your just an asshole.

Just kidding.

Welfare isn't an option................

I don't do drugs but do in fact buy beer with my own money.......

An a**hole? That's your opinion............
