Like it or not, majority rules.
No, they don't. Small minorities of people rule in business, politics and religion. The majority just accepts that.

And we keep on telling you lot: the future is Darwinian - as is our present and our past.
Are you describing social darwinism here?

http://www.darwins-theory-of-evolution.com/

I would think that the intelligent thing to do here is to continue to study outside of your own perspectives including a deeper study of those whos influence has formed your opinions.

Here is some words spoken by your "leader" or what ever you call him ( IMHO you seem to treat him as your "god" where he himself is casting doubt on his own "theory" . It is time for you to think outside the "bubble" that you are living in .

Darwin's Theory of Evolution - A Theory In Crisis
Darwin's Theory of Evolution is a theory in crisis in light of the tremendous advances we've made in molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics over the past fifty years. We now know that there are in fact tens of thousands of irreducibly complex systems on the cellular level. Specified complexity pervades the microscopic biological world. Molecular biologist Michael Denton wrote, "Although the tiniest bacterial cells are incredibly small, weighing less than 10-12 grams, each is in effect a veritable micro-miniaturized factory containing thousands of exquisitely designed pieces of intricate molecular machinery, made up altogether of one hundred thousand million atoms, far more complicated than any machinery built by man and absolutely without parallel in the non-living world." [5]

And we don't need a microscope to observe irreducible complexity. The eye, the ear and the heart are all examples of irreducible complexity, though they were not recognized as such in Darwin's day. Nevertheless, Darwin confessed, "To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree."

I see there are many people that may be more intelligent here then I but I see a great lack of WISDOM at the same time. Intelligence without wisdom is a fools folly .

Tom

P.S. Nevlic
I do have sympathy for those that lost their lives and lost loved ones , but it's difficult to have sympathy for someone that stupid .
BAD FORM sir
real sympathy is not given based on intelligence

Really ? So you could feel the same degree of sympathy for a mouse as for a man then ?

You've apparently misread Darwin's not-so-subtle use of the word seems.

No not at all. your response was not directed towards a mouse. it was directed towards a lady that had just suffered thru a tragic personal loss of life caused my a natural disaster. you call her stupid because of her personal beliefs . so for the person that lived next door that suffered the same tragedy but doesn't have any belifs you would offer you sympathy freely yet this woman you would not? I just see that as an example of your true character( your heart). I fail to understand in this situation how any human could feel this way. If the lady had killed her family due to her beliefs then that is a whole other situation. I hope this explains it to you better.

Existential Realists fully understand why those like you fail to understand this.

This should explain to you the meaning of the word seem. It doesnt seem to me that he is trying to avoid answering a question as it seems that some do here. any way you look at it the statement seems to shows doubt even in the mind of darwin himself.

seem

I see gimabalfan in a different light now.

this is what i found

What holds me at bay is the existential realism of our non-being. The creative act is my affirmation of being in the face of the abyss of nothingness. My work then is an expression of Existential Realism.

i wonder is this is what gimbalfan is saying?

who remembers when boxing great, prince naseem hamed crossed the lake to take the fight to antonio barrera?

naseem beleived so much so in his faith that it would be allah who would fell barrera - not proffessinal imo.

berrera correctly pointed-out to naseem that when they (naseem vs berrera) entred the ring, it would be 'just the two of us, no allah.'

naseem lost, and lost it good.

<raises hand> Good example.

There are no gods, no devils, no heaven nor hell. Those are only figments of our magnificent human imaginations -- just like Santa Claus, Easter Bunnies, boogeymen and fire-breathing dragons. They were imagined into 'existence' by understandably frightened or confused early humans, for no other reason than to furnish comforting (therefore popular, though incorrect) explanations for random misfortunes -- and other mysteries undefined or misunderstood.

Today's frightened or confused humans are no different -- but the knowledge- rich environment we now live in renders belief in nonsense unacceptable.

There's your Existential Realism fully defined and factually irrefutable -- for sane folks at least. Others? Not so much. Facts don't matter to those types.

80%+ of the planet's population clings fiercely -- both hands white-knuckled with fear -- to their various insane concepts, tragically unaware that they do not yet understand the universal realities of the fundamentals of existence.

This is both deeply saddening and intensely aggravating.

Well heck. All my family & friends that I associate with are Christians in one form or another. Some in the past have been serious Christians. Not a one of them is trembling in fear. Some might tell them they are. But, they are not. Including myself.

forgive my ignorance on such issues, but do 'christians' look upon the allah-brigade with their 42 virgins as nutters? (there isn't that many!)
