My friend has a Spectrum Radio (DX-7) and at times he will turn the radio and then the helicopter on but the helicopter will not respond. Then you turn the helicopter power off and turn it back on and everything works just fine.
He is running a 5.8 volt system with regulator and I am not sure what is going on. He has rebounded the model but it continues to do this periodically.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've experienced the same thing. What I've found is that it happens when the transmitter is sitting too close to the receiver. Just to be safe and I'm sure he's done this is to re-bind it and try it again. Try it with the radio close to the receiver and then try it with it sitting a couple of feet away.

Glad to see you're still around. I'll be in Dallas this week.

Jeff

The other things that will cause agrivation while linking are metal tables and metal shelves in the immediate vacinity.

I bound mt DX7 with my AR6200 last night with the TX setting right next to the bird and had no problems at all, but I can see where any metal interference would hinder the bind

Binding is different, it takes place at reduced power. Linking (when you turn on a system thats already bound and wait for it to connect) has problems when the transmitter is too close.

That only shows up in the X9303 book, not the DX7.
