I have a friend installing a V-bar system on his nitro trex -600. @ mid stick on collective the swashplate is level but when he goes full positive/negative he cannot get the swashplate to stay level like it was at mid stick. He knows he can't use the radio so he is seeking instuction on how you do it with the mikado control panel via his computer. Please help.

You will find that when you are in setup mode it is level.

When you are not in setup mode the swash will do as it pleases as the gyro controls the swash servos.

Also what you are experiencing is the elevator precompensation done deliberately by the software

This question comes up very regular.

People must remember its like having a heading hold gyro on all axis, so it does not operate as you may expect.

As long as it corrects against the direction of the movement it is fine and you are ready for take off!

Tell him to read the manual.

Helicraze, when we were at the park today I asked if he looked in the manual and he promised he looked over and over. Actually he downloaded the manual and said he studied it and that is what pushed him towards the purchasing the V-bar system over the Gyrobot.

Just an update on the situation. My friend was able to fly his v-bar Trex 600 nitro. Initially I thought we would be flying at seperate fields but we ended up at the same one (I really wanted to see his initial flight).
His initial flight was uneventful Not one single problem. He took to it like a fish to water. within the first couple of minutes he was into his normal routine. No need to tell you the look on his face, you all have been there already. I was very happy for him.
We always joked around about going flybarless when it became so easy a caveman could do it. My friend says V-bar 4.0 has done it for the caveman. I am going to hold out awhile due to my flying skills which need a lot of work and I don't want the flybarless making things easier for me. I want to learn the old fashion way first and then on with new technology.
I would just like to thank everyone for their post and PMs before closing this post. That is what makes this hobby such a joy, how we come together and get each other up and going, leaving no one behind unless they choose to stay there. Thanks again guys
