Video taping your flights can be a great tool to help identify any weak areas in your flights. Especially if your thing is scale flying or if you're flying in competition.
I've discovered that my flying looks different on video than what I think that I'm seeing while I'm flying. My case in point is the attatched video of my helicopter. It's been edited to make it better for veiwing, but it really opened up my eyes to some good points. I need to slow my manuevers down and be smoother on the sticks.
I'm still a newbie with helis and even greener at scale flying. Having video of my flights will certainly help me smooth out the kinks as I go, and just might make me a better pilot in the process.
If you have the opportunity to get video of you flights, I highly recommend you take advantage of it. You just might be suprised by what you see. And don't see.
This may have been covered before or might be a 'no-brainer', but the light just kicked on in my head, LOL. Either way, I hope that this is of help to someone.
Cheers! BH

Here's your video imbedded to make it easier:

Not bad flying though man, just one tip. Sounds like your headspeed is screaming. Try bringing down the headspeed a bit to get rig of that fast, poppy, quick responsiveness you get from higher headspeeds. That's the whole reason the 3D guys have those insane headspeeds. Bringing it down will slow it up and give it a little more smooth sluggishness that the scale birds really have.

Cheers,

Thanks for your help Clint.
I'm running an 11t pinion currently and have messed with the throttle and pitch curves some. I'll make some more changes on the heli to see what it yeilds.

Hi trickfrog, the heli is a stock T-Rex 450SA, in an Align fuse. The build was pretty easy with little fuss. Just a couple of mods to fit the heli.
Cheers! Mike
