I'm going to attach a 10mm x 35mm carbon fiber piece to the Trex-600 frame to fix the frame around the canopy mount area after a crash. Do you think 30 minute Epoxy is enough for this or the strength of JB weld is what it will need? I really don't like the gray color of JB weld if I don't have to use it

Thanks in advance.

I think that it would be fine. i have used 5 minute and used fiberglass to repair areas before. Only thing that i can stress is that you sand the area being repaired and clean it very well or it will not work at all. good luck with the repair.

Trying not to put them in the dirt.

Hmm. I have found that epoxy offers a stronger and more longlasting bond than CA. CA is dissolved by nitro.

CA is to brittle will crack and break at the first moment of any kind of stress. I work composite repair on military helicopters and i use fiberglass and carbonfiber and if i could get my hands on some i would use kevlar but i cant. but like i said just fiberglass the two together and will be good as new.

Trying not to put them in the dirt.
