I have two outrage 2500 6s packs. I will tell you they are used for a bunch of cycles. I won't tell you that they are actually puffed. I won't tell you in fact that they will dump on you after doing two loops and two rolls. I will also not tell you that when you buy them, I will cut the deans plug off of them and make the left over wire too short for your application requiring that you make extensions for them. In fact I won't tell you that they are actually pieces of junk that I can't get crash replacement or warranty replacement on because I couldn't get a receipt for them. And of course this wonderful conditions on these batteries is because they have never been crashed. And I will tell you that I want 95% of full retail price and tell you that you are getting a great deal on two puffed packs that won't let you fly around the field faster than 3/4 throttle!

Man, I miss the eighties.

seems to me he got scammed out of his hard earned $$. I will never buy another "new" "lightly used" "only has 5 cycles" battery on here or any other site. These types of batteries are best purchased new. IMO.

Its called truth in advertising. I won't sell these batteries, but it would be nice that when people sell you things, they disclose everything that is important, like puffed batteries, missing deans plugs, some parts missing from a kit.

I've noticed a lot, mostly with my buddies buying used that something is always missing. One guy bought a furion 450 and the blade holder wasn't sent with it. Why keep the blade holder? They come with the kits. Another bought a vibe 50 used and it was set up with the 140 degree option, but the parts for the 120 degrees option were never sent with it. Why not? Didn't it come in the kit to begin with? Blade holders and straps are notorious for being missing when a heli is sent, even if the original kit included them. Pads and instructions for new in box gyros are the same way. If you have them and are selling the main item, why not include them or make it clear that you will be keeping them?

And if you aren't good at building helis, please say so. Its no disgrace. It just means that the used heli you sell will just need a good going over. The same said furion 450 was really messed up. Its fixed now, but it seemed to be built by an idiot. Even the used vibe 50 had a build error in it.

well we should not lose faith on buying used lipos, cause some peeps are indeed honest. I to would be certainly pissed and full heardetly agree with your post on the honesty for sure. If I have a pack of any brand that's pooped out I simply don't sell it period.

These lipos are only an example of things that may not be what you expect. Another thing I have noticed is that some used engines don't seem to come with the nut and washer. Why not send them? I bring this up because I was looking at two of my used engines yesterday and saw that one was missing a nut and both were missing washers. Little things, but needed in order to use them. Now, I have to see, if have any extras, if not, then I have to buy those also.

Sorry seeing you get shafted, AltecLansing. Did you contact the seller? You are an honest guy and it's the right thing to do to express your outrage here. You might want to share that original sales ad URL with us.

I'm not sure if it's worth buying used "brand name" packs these days. The 50% crash replacement is only valid within 6 months if you are the original purchaser with a proven receipt.

Everyone and their dog own some Zippy packs these days.

The seller and I worked out things. Its just part of the gripe I have about people selling things in general and forgetting to let you know about certain thing, puffed batteries, missing nuts on engines, small items not being included, even though you see the items in the pictures, etc... I'd list pics of the engines too, but I know people will buy a parts engine quickly and since I plan on keeping them for parts, I don't want to give anyone any ideas about being able to get them.

I'm hoping that people will see this ad and remember to tell people about things before selling them so they don't buy partially blind.

I always try to send every thing that goes with what I sell but have forgot I'm sure more than once to put every thing in the box as for other people probably have too and not on purpose I'm sure but if the buyer said some thing is missing and it supposed to be there then I have no problem with sending what ever is missing and apologise for the delay and I give seller the same certasee there is always two sides of the story but that's just me anyway

I agree with racingrandy....we've delt with each other for years and are friends

however, sometimes we forget parts or certain accessories...my prob is old age; but, once either one of us let's the other know; it's taking care of. I 've made a lot of deals on here and have always stood by my word on things. I had someone buy a heli from me (it was used and isn't in production anymore; but, the guy knitt-pick the heli to death) he said there was a prob with the helis' parts and I made them right with NIP OE parts. You run into these things every once an a while...first time since 2002. in buying, especially in electronics...it's a gamble (even auto parts stores tell you, once you open the box...it's yours).

We here on RR have always policed ourselves (ie: the "David Yates" story).

What am I getting to; put you feedback into the seller's feedback and do what you have done, give us a heads up of the individual!!

Honesty

On this same topic, I've bought and just received a used pair of vblades 600mm that I was confirmed they're in perfect condition. One of the blades arrived with a bump at the end tip of it.

Yes, it was a great deal for a pair of vblades at that price, but all this time I was thinking that I paid for a perfect condition pair of vblades. The seller asked me for a couple photos. I sent the close-up photos and he's then been silent. I'll see how it goes.
