Got plenty of flying in today with my small electric heli, 8 batteries thru her, and she flies amazingly!
Solid hovering, solid rolls, solid loops, tail slides and flips, but I still get the occasional tail blowout when coming out of an inverted position when applying throttle quickly. I noticed today it does not do this when I apply the power smoothly though.

Is there a method to get the tail working solidly so it doesn't blow-out when I apply quick throttle?

DX7 Radio, GY401 Gyro, Futaba S9257 tail servo.

run 100 flat in idle up

running the 62mm pro blades will help as well.

im done with the 59mm K&B's for that exact reason

I'm just using the stock wooden blades and stock tail blades still.
When you say "Run 100 flat" what do you mean?

I'm still new to all of this heli stuff, been flying only the last 8 Saturday's and never flew a heli prior to this. The RealFlight G4.5 flight sim has helped immensely!

running %100 full throttle, raising headspeed will give the tail more authority.

if your doing flips and rolls ect then you will like the CF mainblade upgrade and the pro tailblades and increased HS will help with your tail blowing out

fwiw..

Try reducing the pitch range a bit...Rapid application of collective with too much pitch causes the heli to "Bog", reducing headspeed and T/R speed...This causes the tail to step out as the tail looses effectiveness...As you improve, put pitch back in...Heli should pull +/- 12 degrees with good batteries...IF you can manage collective well.
