I had this happen. I thought it was my motor bearing at first. I moved the shroud a little up and retightened screws and it went away.

I helped a guy replace a clutch on one the other day and when we put it back together it sounded exactly like your vid. It was just the fan rubbing. No big deal adjusted the the fan shroud and now all is well.

I put the fun in dysFUNctional :)

Well this is what I found, took the motor out cause it was really bugging me.I checked everything over and made sure all the allen screws were tight and found one of my clutch allen screws was about 1/4 of a turn loose so I think that was it.I have the CNC Align fan and what im thinking is the side that was loose on the clutch was vibranting on the CNC fan.Now that im thinking about it,that has to be it.When I land and pull the throttle trim back to kill the motor it gos away and the blades/clutch bell is still spinning really fast and I can't hear it anymore.Same when im spooled all the way up to 1900rpm's,its not as loud but I can hear it a tiny bit.I made sure the clutch was nice and tight but if it comes loose again should I use a small drop of loctite? If so which color, red or blue?Im very picky about my heli so im glad I took it apart, that could of been nasty .

All metal to metal must have loctite.

I also add a very small drop of CA to screws going into plastic.

If something comes loose with blue loctite, I use red for round #2.

For a basic build, I use red on the nut securing the fan hub, the 2 screws holding the clutch, and the screws attaching the boom supports. Those boom supports like to come loose on a 90.

How it got in my pajamas I'll never know

Awesome and thanks for the reply .Im allmost 100% sure the noise I was hearing was the clutch vibranting on the side that came loose cause it was a good 1/4 turn out or a tad bit more.Glad I have a CNC fan cause I don't think I could hear it with the stock plastic fan.Its all back together now, once I get back in from flying tomorrow i'll pull the motor back out and use red loctite. Thanks again for the reply .
