If you crash and bust your rear body mounts off. I took gws 6x5 slow flyer prop and used the center as the frame spacer to space out the mounts. The hex fits the body mount perfect smooth the frame drill a hole use a long bolt to put it on with.

just fly your going to crash you just dont know when

Great tip, but show us a picture to help visualize what you did.

Yeah, I'd like to see that picture. I'm not visualizing it very well. Anything!, to not have to take a frameset apart.

You might have a cool fix if we can see it.

I'm still thinking about the back side of the frame.

Yes BILLM...

What Chad didn't say was that he used a longer bolt that came in through the back side.

Back side

I'm with you bill, I could see drilling through the frame then , washer on front and back would make the mount very strong. With the strength of our frames I could see being able to handle a few crashes with out breaking off and if it did would be the post.

My 2 cents

When the body mounts break off they leave a mark where center is I drilled a hole. Then sanded the frame flat then took the center of the prop (orange piece) put bolt through from the back side into the standoff.

See if you can come up with a nylon screw. If you make it too strong you're gonna finish tearing the frameset apart. As for being such a strong frame, OMG you should have seen two of mine just about explode on impact. One was rightside up with throttle hold and still broke everything including the frame. I certainly wasnt impressed and didnt bother rebuilding THAT one. Another went in upright and just coming off power when it threw that friggen tail grip. It too broke and bent too much to be worth fixing. So, dont get too carried away with how strong you think a Pantera is. It is not a tank. Anyway, I love the mounting idea for the canopy, I just think making it break-awayable might be wiser.
