Don't touch that one. Apart from any frequency band issue, that one has plastic aerial mounts which cannot be modified to add a patch antenna if required.

Try searching eBay using desired frequency ie 900 etc

So 1.2ghz is separate from 2.4 right?? no interference issues?? I know range may not be as far as others but im not looking for lots of range. Just a couple hundred yards at most. What exactly is a patch antenna and what are the advantages??

Here is the current setup I bought. It's crystal clear and very stable. It's a 4 channel 900 mhz.

Hey thanks Gyro Freak, thats what I have been looking for. 200mw vs 500mw Whats the difference? Am I going to see a difference in my range when working within a few hundred yards? Im thinking I may go to the 500mw just incase I expand my range in the future.

Hey Gyro I went ahead and ordered the 500mw tx. I have another question. I dont want to add another battery to my camera mount. I have a 4 cell nimh right now but I was thinking of replacing it with a 2 cell li-po. I was going to put a Y harness in with one side going to the transmitter. The other side would be my RX for my pan/tilt/shutter servos. Im running a hitec micro RX and I dont think i can just plug a 2 cell lipo into it. I have a step down regulator that came with my 100amp Align ESC and I was wondering If I could just plug that into the other side of the Y and then into the RX. Does that sound like it will work?

Well NVM, I see Im going to have to use a 3 cell li-po to power the downlink. I still hope to regulate that battery to use it on my Cam mount RX also. I just need to figure out the lightest way possible to do it. Im not overloaded but I just try to do everything light.

I use a small 3S lipo for power from one of my foamies. Not sure about your setup. It needs 12V dc but will work on less but less power. I put it on a variable power supply to test and it quit at 9 volts.
As for your camera receiver, why not just run a two wire extension from the ship receiver to the camera mount receiver to get the power from the main ship ?
Or there are some very small and light BEC available for around $20 (or less on RR sometimes).

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

I could run it from my ships supply and I may do that... The only problem is that I have it set up where I have unlimited rotation of my cam. If I do it this way I will have to be careful not to twist too many times and tangle up the wire. It would also be a long run, 18" probably, would this cause any problems??

Try using a 3S 300mAh LiPo with a Dimension Engineering variable voltage regulator. Buy a couple of these LiPos and swap them out as often as you need to (current draw will be pretty low, once you measure it you can calculate time between swaps easily)
