This fixed my tracking problem

I just flew my venture30 with my new ergo head and it is sweet. Tracking stays perfect. here are a few pics.

was hard on it as I am capible of and couldnt make it track wrong. Heli is way senitive now though. dont know if it from the head or the 3d paddles but I am working on taming it a bit more to my liking in the radio now

Ergo Head

The Ergo head looks sharp! Did you do just the head? Or did you go with an Ergo swash and washout assembly too?

Just the head for now. It cost me right around 100 bucks. gonna go with the ergo swash and washout next I think. right now my venture stuff is still fairly tight though. As soon as I get a good bit of slop there I will upgrade that. Right now I am looking into tail mounting the tail rotor servo and uprading the tail rotor stuff.

JP3DFLYR, Here is what I used. JRP960061 Ergo Rotorhead assembly , It was a direct fit just pull off the old on with the new.
The links that go from the seesaw arms to the Blade grips on your venture canot be made short enough without cuttin the plastic I used Jrp970006 double end ball link , They are the right sizw and if you look real close you can see them in the pics I posted. Also you will need to use the 3d spacers on the swash under the balls there per venture manual. Also the links that go from swash up to seesaw arms needs to be made the length for the 3d setup per the venture manual 19mm i think.

I've received the parts from Heliproz, basically the 50 upgrade kit and Ergo blade holders. The head is two pieces, a beefier spindle rod, comes with thrust-bearings, expect to re-use your original inner outter blade-holder bearings. The upgrade kit comes with a metal phase ring, and you re-use all the original rotor head linkages, see-saws, etc. The cost of this whole setup is actually a little cheaper than the Ergo head at just under $100, and, if it works as good (it seems pretty stout), you get the same fix for the same cost, but you get all the goodies to upgrade to the full-blown 50-upgrade just begging for a new motor, tail-boom rotor servo mount and push-rod... just a thought.

I crashed my Heli this weekend due to a lockup of my old Galaxy receiver, so I can't assemble it until the new main-shaft comes in, when its assembled I'll post the pics for you guys.

I think the Ergo job looks great Derby, just posting this as another option. I also am steering clear of Mavrik blades this time and have gone with 2 sets of Century woodies at 2/3 the cost of the Carbons.

Have fun with your Ventures, or better yet, BUY A RAPTOR IF YOUR'E TRYING TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND.

When I called Horizon Tech support about my tracking problems, I was told "well, you can't expect a precision helicopter for what the Venture costs"...." its a cheap trainer, what do you expect..." can you believe that, I'm serious, that was the best they could tell me, and the best they could offer...

Buy Great Planes, I wish I had. Why blow an extra $100 to get a flyable bird? Sheesh...

I was told the same thing when I asked about the tracking probs. I kinda wish I had gone with the 50 upgrade couse that is what I am leaning toward doing now. I will still use the ergo head if I get the upgraded tail boom and stuff. I cant desise wether to upgrade the venture to 50 or just buy a new 50 size bird. but as much as I like JR radio equipment I hate to say that I will probably not get another JR heli. I understand though that the voyager50 is a real good machine. Oh well to much to think about now think I just head out to the bar and Drink..

Pics! KSJ Venture CP 50 Upgrade w/ Ergo Grips - Assembled

Man this thing has ZERO slop on the grips/bearings now. I think if I were a smart man, I'd of bought only the Ergo grips and tried it with the original Venture stock head assembly, but maybe the beefier spindle shaft will help, well its all here now...too late to back-out.

For those wondering, with the 50 upgrade, you get these new parts associated with the head:

1ea Plastic main rotor hub
1ea aluminum center hub
2ea Phase ring pin
1ea Plastic phase ring
1ea Spindle shaft (beefeir in the middle than original, same diameter as original at the ends)
2ea Thrust bearing 5x10x4mm
2ea Large dia flat washer 8x13x1mm
2ea Flat washer 5x19x1mm
All necessary screws, hex bolts and locknuts for assembly.

I also purchased Ergo grips at around $15.00 a set.

For the conversion of the head, you must re-use everything from your stock Venture for all items not mentioned above.
Basically all of your original swashplate, see saw arms, blade grip bearings (the spacer is replaced by the thrust bearings and washers), linkages, etc.

I'll post after I fly it next week (*crosses fingers*)
