I am not going to use the backplate sensor, I will use flywheel magnets. Can the sensor syplied with the 7100r read flywheel mags or do I need another brand sensor. If I need another brand who has a nice sensor? Multigov are very fimsy and futaba(for gv-1) are nice and stout. How about revmax? Which is best, thanks!

Sorry to disappoint you but the magnetic sensors for MultiGov, ATG, and RevMax are all "flimsy" as they are pretty much identical.

"Flimsy" has proven to reliable and not as such

I've used Multigov's for years without any issues. I've used them with the 7100R as well with no issue.

I don't crash... I land with style

Yeah I've had 2 Multigovs going for 2-3 years each without a problem so I'll just use that. i gave my GV-1 to a friend and noticed how much more "substantial" it seemed but if it's unnecessary i won't worry.

Still wondering if the Spectrum backplate sensor can also pick up flywheel magnets.
