I'm hoping that someone can help me with this problem. I've had several experienced heli guys at my club look at my Sceadu 50(not the EVO). We can't figure out what is wrong with my setup. With my Tx at midstick here's the setup:

-linear pitch curve: 0,25,50,75,100
-the collective pitch compensator arm are level
-the mixing arms are level
-servo are centered linkages are 90 degrees to the horns
-swashplate of course is level
-NOTE! the grip links non adjustable

HELP! We've looked over the manual. The heli seems to be built accordingly. Obviously I've missed something! This is making me CRAZY!! I'm greatful for any advice that will lead me to a solution besides throwing the heli away, which I have thought of!

THANK YOU

What exactly is the problem?

First thing to check with wonky pitch setups on the EVO is the jesus bolts. The upper and lower jesus bolts should be oriented the same, if they are 90 degrees from each other then you used the wrong holes in the main shaft for the lower one.

Sceadu 50 is driving me CRAZY! HELP!!! part2

Oops! I'm so stressed by this I didn't state the problem. Given the setup in my last post with everything level(mixing arms, washout arms, swashplate and flybar) there is positive pitch on the main blades. I can't figure how to correct it. There should be 0 pitch. Shouldn't there? Thank you for your replies.

So, at mid stick, what is reading on the pitch gauge?

I would assume your linear pitch curve is at idle up mode. So, is your switch on your tx also flipped to idle up?

sorry, but you really are not explaining your problem very well,,

but yes,, when every thing is level at Mid Stick/at 50% on the Curve you should have 0 Degrees of Pitch,,

as you said you have a linear pitch curve of 0,25,50,75,100,, so you should have 0 Degrees at 50%, and every thing should be level at 50%, and all Servo Arms should be at 90 Degrees..

It really depends on what on your pitch gauge reading. If it is over a few degrees, try giving a few turns on the pitch linkage rods until you get zero pitch.

+2 on TheOldGuy's response. Change out the non adjustable links to adjustable.

Looking at the instruction manual, are you referring to the links to the blade grips? Those should be adjustable.

The original Sceadu was designed back in the days when people hovered at mid stick. That is why you have positive pitch at center stick.

As oldguy stated, you will need to replace the fixed linkages to achieve what you want.

The links from the grips down to the mixing arms are definitely molded and non adjustable on the original Sceadu. Never caused me any trouble though - my setups always worked fine.

my original sceadu's still have the non adjustable moulded blade grip link
just adjust the pitch link to get 0 at mid

you may find that you can't get +10/ -10 but you can get +9/-8.5
if you fit some of the shuttle links to the head (the sceadu ones are to long) you can alter the set up to +10/-10, i've never tried this but i have been told it works

and if you want to throw it in the bin post it to me free i'll take it off your hands and fly and enjoy it

Pick up a set of Trex 600 links (rods) and use the Hirobo ball ends. You may have to trim just a bit off the straight section of the Hirobo ball end so as not to be to long in the overall assembly. Also the rex rods are slightly larger in dia but will screw into the Hirobo ball links (a more robust link).
With all linkages at the proper length, servos neutral and centered at 1/2 stick, adjust those links above to get 0 pitch on the blades, if you want 0 at mid stick.
