Would it work???
I have a G3 but I'm not totally happy with the physiscs and I'm thinking on ordering Phoenix to see if it motivates me to use the sim a bit more since people says that is more realistic, so I'd like to know if the square adaptor that comes with the G3 would work on the Phoenix cable so I don't order the extra bit.
Anybody knows????
Thanks,
Fernando

If it is this one:

I believe it will. According to the "tech notes" associated with the picture it "converts JR to micro". The Phoenix cable has a male plug that plugs directly into the JR/Spektrum buddy box port. And from the looks of it, that end would also plug into the circular end of the cable adapter.

Yep that's the one I have.
I agree with you the only thing throwing me out was that I think (you can't see it very well on the pic) the Phoenix male plug is stereo (has 3 contacts on it) while the RF has only two.
Well, I just plugged a male into it and it seems like only two pins has connections, now which are the odds that the male plug breaks inside the female leaving the tip inside???
I guessI'll need to cut it and solder a new female there.

I have the correct Futaba square to Phoenix adapter, it looks exactly like the one I posted...

Don't hack up the one you have. give it try.

You may be OK to go if you get Phoenix. If not, I don't need this one, it's new, you can have it if you need it. Don't know what shipping to Costa Rica would be, however.

Thanks dkshema,
I'll be going to the UK at the end of the month (that's when I'm thinking on buying the sim) and I'll be comming back by mid October so I won't know until then.
I will probably stop in Miami for few days to stock up on heli parts before flying down here again.
I'll let you know if I need it, but thanks again for the offer.
