Hi...everybody,i have brand new futaba S9254 and the power supply
is 4.8V only and ni-cd use only.so anybody can tell me if i can
use higher voltage and lipo battery,with out burning the servo.
Pls...LMK i can't afford to buy another one.

The max you can go on 9254 (that is if you want your 9254 to last) is about 5.2V.

Yeah you'll have to either use a stepdown or a regulator depending on what it is you're doing.

If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.

all the servo i have on my heli can used 6V
except the tail

Biggest problem with 9254 is not subjecting it to too much vibration as the pot can prematurely fail.
