I have a belt cp and at times usually when it is most needed I can only yaw to the left and barely get any input when I put the stick full right. I replaced the gyro thinking this was the problem and have adjusted the servo on the tail boom so I have full trim left and right. Just some times about 1 in 3 flights I encounter this problem. Please help me if you know what is causing or could cause this.

It's natural for the heli to want to yaw left because of motor torque. Your belt or one of the pulleys may be slipping, preventing a right turn.

Check to make sure the tail rod linkage is not bending under load and also, did you set the tail pitch up mechanically in rate mode first ? If the gyro is having to tell the servo to push right just to counter the torque on the mains then there may not be enough servo travel remaining to give a decent right yaw rate.

thanks for the help

I switched out the stock linkage with an aluminum push rod and clevis and for now everything seems fine. It really gets the blood flowing when hovering 3D and there is no yaw input to the right.

Is it possible that there just isn't enough authority in the tail? Could be your headspeed is low.
hovering 3D
I'd like to see what that looks like

If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.
