I just bought some Rotortech FAI paddles. They have a hole where a set screw usually should go and secure the paddle. However, the hole doesn't go all the way to the flybar. I've looked with a microscope and there doesn't look to be a set screw in there already. Is that how they are supposed to be or do I have a defective set?
Hope to hear form someone who can help.

Thanks,

Jimmy

There is a M4 set screw in there that will tighten up against the flybar. The trick is the set screw is installed before the outside of the paddle is molded. You will need a plain 2mm allen/hex key to reach the set screw. Use the old fashion L shaped key. Most of the nice allen/hex drivers are too large in dia to fit into the hole provided.

Yup, thanks Danny. L-wrench worked, the fit is tight. A hand-driver hex tool with the handle on it won't fit properly because only the tip is ground and the remaining diameter is too large.
Drastic measures averted. trex 700 FAI build continues....
