my second question is can i just hook the esc up and fly or do i "have" to program it? thanks alot for the help

For the lack of a better term its how fast your servo and gyro communicates in band width. All you need to know if you are new to helis is that your gp750 is set at the frame rate your servo operates. If you don't set it right you can damage your servo almost instantly. I believe most common servos are the 1500 frame rate.

I am sure someone will come along and explain this better with the proper terms. Till then set the gyro at the frame rate your servo is listed at.

dude, you dont really have to program the esc.the default setting is good enough to fly.just as long you hear the beeps your all good. basicially first one is one beep, then 2 beeps, then 1 beep again and 2 beeps through out the the programings. now thats the default setting which i mentioned its still good to fly.as for the GP 750 it depends on the servos your going to use.normally its 1520 which is the first and the second is 760 which you dont want, otherwise you burn out your servos and the last one is analog which i know your not going to use for tail servos!lol..again,all the advised in this form are all good, just go to heli freak if you need more help!..

The stock frame rate is what most servos such as the s9257 run at so you dont have to change that. Other than that I just set my limits and made sure the tail slider moved the right way. If your using a spectrum radio start with your gain set at 70.
