Hi guys; Since I already have the engine out to replace the cluch I thought it would be a good time to replace the fan with a Maryland machining piece.
My question is which one do I order? I have a 1004 SE with an OS C-Spec 90.
If someone could help it would be appriciated!

There is only 1 type of fan available now. You will be very happy with it!

Why not use the minature C.N.C. aluminum cooling fan, part#0579-4?

The MA CNC fan needs to be dial indicated when mounting on the engine which can be a tedious process to get the runout in tolerance. The Maryland fan is a machine fit on the crankshaft. To mount the Maryland fan you heat the fan to expand it and slip it on the shaft when it cools it fits the shaft perfectly and there is no run out other then what may be in the crankshaft itself. It is well worth the extra cost and my YS was never smoother.

I didn't realize there was any option easier to mount than the stock MA fan. Thanks for pointing that out.

True about the slot not being on the new OS but anyone can have a grove machined into the shaft so the fan would work.

I hope you dont give up on making such a great fan bro.

This hobby sucks, when your not flying.
