Hey guys. I was considering an AR6200 to replace an AR7000.

I vaguely remember some problems/issues with a certain Spektrum RX about 6-9 months ago and I "thought" it was the 6200.

Can someone confirm that there are no known issues with the 6200?

THANKS!

I have about three or four and all work very well, just make sure you have the latest quick reconnect firmware.
I think the problems you mention were the 6100

I have 4 - 6200 receivers and have never had a problem in hundreds of flights. I have had them all updated to the latest 1.6 firmware.

How does one go about updating the 6200 to the lastest firmware?

I remember reading a while back on another forum, that they have power bus issues for larger helis. What are you putting it in?

I have had it on my blade 400 for a year or so. If you read my other post I'm not really sure whats going on, if its the 6200 or just some bad luck with my gy401, and a cyclic servo jr285mg and a futaba 3154 all going out at the same time. I was running the jr ds290 then the tail started letting go, so I switched to the 3154 now that is no longer among the working. It's hard to believe everything was working great about a week ago. I was hoping that it was just the gyro, but now the 2 servos went out today, so I just don't know. If its the rx I hate to plug anything else into it.

You would send it to Horizon's service center. But most likely, you have the most current software. Do the test here:

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Articles/...?ArticleID=1855

to see if you have the latest and greatest. Most likely you do, as the 6200 was developed AFTER this software notice.

Go fly.

Thanks dkshema, I have notice the flashing LED on it before with power loss and have noticed no delay, so it must have the latest. The remote or satellite does stay solid. On my dx7, I noticed I have to shut the transmitter off everytime when I initiate the ar6200, if I don't I get the flashing LED, but its still bound.

You will only lose bind if you push the bind button on the TX when you are turning the TX ON. This is easy to do accidentally with the DX7 if you lay it on its back when you flip the power switch on. The bind button sticks out beyond the rear of the case and it's real easy to activate that button when turning on the TX.

It would appear that your remote may not have the latest software, as it should blink if you simply cycle power on the flight pack while leaving the TX on.

As long as power to the TX stays on, the LEDs on the RX and all satellits ought to go blinky on you when you cycle RX power.

Yea, I just tried it with an rx battery, and with the TX on I cut the power on the receiver battery and the main rx flashes, but the remote stays solid.

Remote was not updated

The remotes can be out of date as well. If this is an old remote, it will not flash. Send the remote back for upgrade.
