Will the Maxi-Joker 3 with torque-tube tail drive be able to spin RotorTech 830mm main blades and RotorTech 120mm tail blades without any issues? The advantage of using 830mm blades is increased lifting capacity and 120mm tail blades for stronger tail control power. The disadvantage is decreased flight time due to heavier and longer blades. Can you think of any other advantages and disadvantages of using 830mm main and 120mm tail blades? What length of main and tail blades do you use on your MJ3 TT? Is 830mm main and 120mm tail too much for the MJ3 to handle? Should I just use 810mm or 710mm for main and 105mm for tail blades?

Don't forget they're semi-syms as well.

What do you mean by semi-syms and is this bad or good?

Are 830mm main and 120mm tail blades an overkill for Aerial Photography use? Should I just use 810mm or 710mm for main and 105mm for tail blades?

I'm no expert but semi-sym blades are supposed to lift more, be more efficient and give you "longer" times. I remember a pilot that stated that is also produces a balloon effect but not sure of that.

Yes, the 830 and 120 blades combination is being used by the person that replied to your post and Flightsolutions so it must work fine (but tight). I do not know if they had to do any modifications to their kit.

Check out this thread and PM the person. I believe Flightsolutions build and sells AP systems so he would know.
