Link works fine for me, you just take the spaces out as their URL is blocked on RR.

Looks good but not sure about a belt drive tail on a 90 size

what is wrong with a belt drive?

they've been in perfect use for decades.

Dominik Haegele told me point blank that on his Hirobo machines he felt NO difference between the belt or torque tube in his competition Freyas. It doesn't suck for him and he's a champion 3D Masters, XFC and German 3D competition pilot, so why does a belt drive suck for you?

This is only a guess but I would think the belt would help numb any vibration better than a torque tube.

Belt drive tail is more forgiving than TT if you hit the ground with the tail blades. The belt will tend to skip/slip instead of sheering off bevel gear teeth.

Sudden death

The belt will also suddenly snap (done this way too many times with my 450) and you go from a nice flight to a crash in an instant.

Not sure if that happens on the big ones, but on the 450 the belt sucks.

I lawn darted my Trex600 tail first from 100 feet and the belt was unscathed. The belt is pretty thick and beefy as compared to the dental floss belt of the 450 However, the gears in my tail servo and the rest of the heli didn't fair so well. It's currently living in a paper bag

Repair costs are also lower with a belt drive unless, as Raja described, you do a death spiral as a result of an in flight belt failure.

Belt drive tail rotors are not maintenance free and the tension needs to be adjusted frequently

Let me sum it up for you...

#1. Belts stretch

#2. Belts loose teeth

#3. Belts fall off pinions

#4. Belts have more drag

#5. Belts need to be adjusted/replaced periodically

#6. Belts make more noise

#7. Belts can snap in flight

#8. Belts can make static electricity (aka Vandergraff generator)

#9. Belts are not cool like torque tubes are.
