Thanks for posting.

Did you need to put a dropdown voltage diode?

I suppose the low battery alarm is rendered useless, yes?

What capacity Lipo do you use and how many flights do you manage to get, in average?

I've always been using 3s lipo for my Futaba 7CH. I upgraded to a 10CG radio in May and it's been working flawlessly with this lipo as well. No diode or step-down needed. I fly 1-2 hours a day, two days a week, and I don't charge it in a month. Your radio should tell you the battery voltage....just use it 'til you see it's 11.1v (~3.7/cell) then charge it up again. But trust me, you'll forget about charging your radio battery 'cuz it's gonna last you a LONG time per charge. The transmitter (TX) lipo pack is cheaper than the less-capacity NiCad too. But make sure you have a lipo balancer-charger with the appropriate banana-to-Futaba-TX cable/plug.

thanks guys. Could you please confirm there is no drop-down on the setup? Just a straight 3-cell lipo?

Thanks.

I'm not using a diode, and the capacity isn't measured in flights any more it's measured in weekends between charges.

Keeping in mind I bring several things to fly off one transmitter to the field each day and spend a good amount of time in the air.
