Hey guys, how does one remove the pinion from the clutch bell without damaging either?

Thanks for any insight.

I use a thick shop rag, fold it once or twice and wrap it around the pinion then attach vise grips. Hold the vise grips in one hand and the bell in the other and twist.

Hopefully you didn't use a ton of locktite. I don't use locktite on the pinion because the torque of the engine will keep it from coming off, and it is always tough to get off.

I had this pair of pliers at my workbench and it works perfect, the pointy part of the jaws fits nicely into the pinion teeth. I don't remember where I bought it but it works perfect. Apply a little heat if it's stubborn.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.
