They could, but they would be aiding the competition. It would come down to whether the increased mSR sales would outwiegh the lost DSM2 sales to competing brands. What they have done is offer a way for anyone to enjoy the heli (RTF) while providing a means for DSM2 users to use their own Tx. Besides, the FASST tech is proprietary just like DSM2. They would have to make a deal with Futaba to include it on their model. In addition, they would not (easily at least) be able to produce one model compatible with all 2.4 technologies so they would have to produce multiple versions increasing the overall costs of the product line. From a biz standpoint, IMHO it is just not worth it.

I have flown it on the RTF Tx and it is still a blast.

You could get a spektrum module for your futaba transmitter and bind to it. Piece-a-cake!
But really, i think jr and futaba should get along. There are way to many receiver selections and goodies for spektrum, i'm jealous.

I went into the local hobby store to check it out.
Came out with a Hirobo Lama 30 nitro, RTF for $350 and forgot why I even went in.

Still asking why

You know, they make a cream for that....

I might not be able to fly well, but I can crash with the best of them.

I saw one of these fly at the LHS and I was not impressed. The owner couldn't get it to fly right. It just kept going full speed into the wall. It was pretty funny though.

Anyone know how it compares to a 4b3?

Ive had my 4b3 for awhile, and its a great indoor flyer for when its rainy, or your bored. But, if the msr is just as good, id like to be able to bind it to my 12x.

seems to hold well enough. i have read somewhere that is wags in FFF, but i didn't notice it to give any trouble on the demo model they have at the LHS near me.

I have both the Walkera and the e-flite. The e-flite is much better and I love it and Yes I do have more Helicopters and can fly them very well. It is fun to chase the dog around

Well, it was not a good day for Helicopters for me. Was flying my mSR, doing funnels in the rotunda at work, making them tighter, faster, steeper with each turn... Apparently, I got to the limit or over-controlled the tail rotor and the little heli spun out, right past my ear(yes, I had to duck...) and slammed into the wall. The screws that hold the blade grips to each other around the main shaft stripped out and caused both blades to go shooting away about 5 feet. The tail must have slammed the wall sideways because it pushed on the motor shaft and caused the brush end to part and hang free from the can. Without a jeweler's loupe, I don't think I can repair the little motor. The blade grips are toast. Hope some spares are available soon. Am I the first to total one of these "indestructable" little beauties?
