I stopped into the local hobby shop to test fly the new MSR. Here is my review. More E-Flight junk!!!!

This heli is awesome until you try to fly it. Then it porpouses like flipper on an acid trip.

It just proves once again that that with the right pilot and a video camera you can make a turd look appealing!

Thanks E-flight you missed again!!!!

Yep, I also flew one of those Monday afternoon. I think a hammer would fix it though....

I was pretty impressed with it for what it is. It's fast, but when it gets going fast, it gets a little quirky..of course it porposes, it's a fixed pitch rotor head!
I like it, for the money, it is really pretty cool!

I did not like the feeling of 90% expo on the cyclic. It sits there, thinks about the input you gave, then explodes into FFF. They might be fun for indoor gym pylon racing.

I'm waiting for their micro CP offering.

flew one at LHS today myself. Had to spend a few minutes fiddling with the trim, but once i got it right it was a blast. I think with a good radio it would be very entertaining. definitely needs some expo tuning, the one at my LHS was incredibly twitchy with all but the smallest inputs.

What can you buy for a hundred bucks, short of something off the strip in Vegas, that you can have more fun with? As "they" tout it to be the "next step" up from the mcx, it will certainly be a hand full. For those of us (you, actually) that are doin' pro-flips within a few inches of the ground blindfolded, it's going to be a yawner. Unless you're trying out for the next Jackass movie, you won't be doin' that indoors. I will be flying indoors with the msr. Hey, it's a toy... How can you justify the kind of remarks seen here bashin' it?

MSR rocks!

They put on a good little show at IRCHA.

It does some pretty cool blade stop autos that's for sure.

Certainly a handful in a little wind but it makes for a good time and a few laughs that's for sure.

Try doing some loops with it....let the fun begin!

Man, I dont know what your talking about. I flew one at my LHS the other day and had to force myself out of there without buying it. It is a great little FP heli to zip around the living room. Yea, the expo on the RTF Tx is alittle heavy, but if you bind it to your own Tx and adjust your expo it can be very responsive. I guess to each his own, but I was thoroughly impressed with this little heli. I wonder if you got a bad one or something?

I love mine - still need to tweak the radio settings a little to make it more responsive but looks like it'll actually be able to fly outside compared to the mcx...

It says "GMS-ready" for the BNF version. Does it mean my two Futaba radio are useless to this thing? Only bind-able to JR/Spectrum?

Yeah, they should make some with Futaba recivers cause Spektrum is not the only 2.4 radio.I bet they would sale more that way.
