That's about my favorite seaplane footage ever -- Catalina or otherwise.

Clearly it's professionally shot and edited from multiple angles, but I haven't found which TV show or movie yet. Anyone know? A commercial maybe?

I to enjoy Fly fishing, Altho I must say I enjoy Fly ketchin even more.

I like the rubber band on the wrist trick, I'll have to remember that next time one of my friends want to destroy all my flies with sonic booms.

If you have access to a pool practice laying the fly right in the skimmer. It makes a great target and you can cast to it from all sorts of angels. I use to work flip casts under the diving board.

One of the things I enjoy most about fly fishing is just casting is fun, gettin a fish on the line a bonus!

Remember to buy LOTS of flys cuz you're gonna go trough A TON. They snag on just about every thing for a while. Oh yeah keep the wind to your line hand so it don't blow the line across your face, A hook in the head is a good way to wreck a great day fishin.

fishing is like helis folks will say you need spend a bundle, But I still fish on my old Eagle Claw that my dad bought my 20? years ago.
I think about getting a nice rod some day but mine still works just fine.

I love to fly fish, with spring around the corner I will get out atleast 3 times a week. For me heli's take a back seat to fly fishing. I only get out once or twice a week now. But here in California the bass and bluegills are about to take off and in about 2 months I can start hiking all my sierra streams for trout. As a matter of fact this Sunday is my most favorite day of the year, it is spring forward time which means more after work fishing.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Im going to give Striper's a go with an 11 weight rod. They school up in the rivers here in fall-spring. Should be fun for a couple until the pain sets in. Cant wait for trout fishing, although I know a few guys who fish the rivers I fish all year. I like the cold, but not wet and cold.

Tight lines!!

Nice fish Randy!

Well, I'll never spend $700 on a rod so I guess I's safe on what I call it. Serioulsly though, I love fly fishing. But how can it be that great in this crappy state? I'll go to the lakes and go for crappie or bluegil, it can be fun. It's what you make it.

The real joy comes in when you bring in a fish on one of your flies you tied.

We fish for stripers here in Lake Mead, trout in Lake Mojave. Not fly-fishing of course, but very relaxing and VERY tasty. Stripers average 8-10 lbs each, although I've heard of 40 lbers from time to time.

Fresh striper in the skillet with nopales and onions -- OH YEAH.

I'd like to learn to fly-fish though, cuz those waders are SO flippin' stylish.
